No doubt about it…Blackbird is one of those musicians about whom you have to wonder “How come more folks don’t know about him?” Of course, there are so many great musicians out there, it’s impossible to know ‘em all. But unlike Bootsy, Fernando Saunders, Maceo Parker and a few other P-Funk alumni, it’s genuinely hard to say what leads to wider recognition than just being one of George Clinton’s sidemen.

    Thanks for putting this on the D-Spot, brother! It reminds me how much good music is out there and how much of it has a Detroit Connection.
